Official: Russia concerned with possible US sanctions on assets
MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- Moscow is worried that the U.S. may impose economic sanctions on Russian assets, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told reporters on Monday.
“We are concerned with that. How can we counteract when they run us over with a bulldozer and seize our diplomatic property?” he said.
When asked about whether Russia can use any prevention measures, he said, “You know that legislation today works in a way that envisages (introduction of sanctions) against anyone in any form and in any amount. How can one be always ready for anything anywhere?”
